1. Agreement to these terms

Carry On Size Checker (carryonsizechecker.com, "the site", "we", "us") is operated by Carry On Size Checker. By accessing or using the site in any language, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What the site does

The site provides free information about airline baggage rules and a size checker that compares the dimensions and weight you enter with the carry-on, personal item and checked baggage limits that airlines publish. It also offers size charts, fee summaries for some airlines, and guides. The site is for general information only. It does not sell tickets, book flights, sell luggage, or provide legal, travel agency or professional advice.

The service is provided free of charge, without registration, and may change, pause or stop at any time.

3. No affiliation with airlines

Carry On Size Checker is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any airline, airport, the TSA or any other authority. Airline names, logos and fare brand names (such as Basic Economy) are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify the airline or fare whose published rules we describe.

4. Accuracy and the airline’s final decision

We take accuracy seriously. Limits are taken from each airline's official baggage page wherever one exists, each airline page shows when it was last reviewed and links to its source, and figures that an airline does not publish are clearly marked as guidelines. Even so:

• Airlines change their rules, fees and fare conditions without notice, and rules can differ by route, aircraft, fare, cabin, loyalty status or country of departure.
• The airline and its airport staff always make the final decision about whether a bag is accepted in the cabin, how much it weighs, and whether a fee applies. A result on this site, including "Fits", is not a guarantee that your bag will be accepted.
• Fees shown on the site are approximate, checked on the date shown, and may not include taxes or route-specific prices.
• Conversions between inches and centimeters and between pounds and kilograms are rounded for display to 0.1 of a unit.

Before you travel, confirm your baggage allowance with your airline or on your booking. If you find information on the site that is out of date, please tell us at [email protected] so we can correct it.

5. Measuring your bag

The checker is only as accurate as the numbers you enter. Measure the bag packed as you will carry it, including wheels, handles, side pockets and anything attached to the outside, and weigh it with its contents. Soft bags can expand when full. When a result is marked "Fits, but tight", allow for the fact that airline sizers are rigid and staff may measure differently.

6. Acceptable use

You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes and share links to its pages. You agree not to:

• use the site in any way that breaks the law or the rights of others;
• copy, scrape or republish the site's airline database, charts or text in bulk, or use them to build a competing product, without our written permission;
• send automated traffic at a volume that could slow down or disrupt the site, or try to get around its security;
• frame the site or present its content as your own or as coming from an airline;
• interfere with or misuse the advertising shown on the site, including by generating artificial clicks or impressions.

Quoting short extracts with a link back to the relevant page is welcome.

7. Intellectual property

The site's design, text, graphics, illustrations, software and the way the airline information is selected, organized and presented are owned by Carry On Size Checker and protected by copyright and other laws. The baggage limits themselves are facts published by airlines, and we claim no ownership of those facts. Except as allowed in section 6, you may not reproduce or distribute site content without permission.

8. Third-party links and content

The site links to airline websites and other resources so you can confirm information at the source. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices or the products and services they offer. Following a link is at your own risk and subject to the other site's terms.

9. Advertising

The site is supported by advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are provided by third parties and are clearly separate from our content. We do not endorse the products or services advertised, and any purchase you make from an advertiser is between you and that advertiser. How advertising partners use cookies is explained in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and all information, tools and content on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carry On Size Checker will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on information on the site, including baggage fees, gate-check charges, denied carriage of a bag, missed flights, travel disruption, or the cost of luggage you buy. Because the site is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Carry On Size Checker from claims, damages and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may be able to bring a claim in your local courts.

14. Changes to the site and these terms

We may update the site, its features and these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. By continuing to use the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

15. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the site.
